Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide a better user experience, and give information to the website operator. Similar technologies such as local storage and session storage serve comparable purposes.
2. How We Use Cookies
The Marcus Neal Fitness platform uses a minimal set of cookies and similar technologies, primarily for essential platform functionality. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies for behavioural tracking or profiling.
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Platform to function and cannot be switched off. They include:
| Cookie / Technology | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| NextAuth session token | Keeping you logged in and authenticating your identity as you navigate the Platform | Session / up to 30 days |
| CSRF token | Protecting against cross-site request forgery attacks on authentication endpoints | Session |
| Cookie consent preference | Remembering whether you have accepted cookies so we do not show the banner again | Persistent (localStorage) |
2.2 Functional Cookies
These cookies remember your choices and preferences to provide a more customised experience:
| Cookie / Technology | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| User preference storage | Remembering your display preferences (e.g. which Workout of the Week tab you last viewed) | Session |
2.3 Analytics Cookies
The Platform may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand general usage patterns (such as which pages are most visited). These analytics do not identify individual users and do not track you across other websites.
If any third-party analytics tools are used on the Platform, they will be configured to anonymise your IP address and will not be used for advertising purposes.
3. Third-Party Cookies
The Platform is self-hosted on Scaleway infrastructure. We do not embed social media widgets, advertising networks, or other third-party trackers that would set additional cookies.
If you use Revolut for payment processing, Revolut may set its own cookies as part of the payment flow. These are limited to payment functionality. You can review Revolut's cookie and privacy policies on their website.
4. Your Choices
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View what cookies are stored and delete them individually
- Block cookies from specific or all websites
- Set your browser to notify you when a cookie is being placed
- Disable all cookies entirely
